As for playback it (tab pro) has similar problems to the ones you describe, I think, but I'll play with it some more in the near future and see if I can improve it somehow. Still, I can easily get an ok sound setup and it's great to see the tabs in a huge font size. Looks great, but no sound - this is a recurrent issue with my laptop, I know it should be easy to sort but it isn't so I'll take it back to the shop and see. I splashed out on an hdmi cable to connect my laptop to TV. The program lies within Audio & Video Tools, more precisely General. I think you need one of the later iPhones or iPads for mirroring to work, I have a 4s. This Mac app is an intellectual property of Rainer Standke.

The app itself I'm not sure about, it has a weird acceleration in between bars to 'catch up' because there is more space between notes when a bar line is present that puts me off, also there is a slight blurryness at higher tempos on the TV which isn't there on the phone screen, but it's still ok. Apps like Songsterr and Guitar Pro have kind of made Power Tab Editor obsolete, but its easy-to-use interface still makes it a great tool for composing, and if you need to read Power Tab files (which again, are available in abundance), this should be your go-to app. I mirrored my iPhone to the TV via AirPlay to the Apple TV and it played Fur Elise and Auld Lang Syne on the TV with scrolling tab and the video and audio in sync.
